STEAM SYSTEM PROBLEM SOLVING
Three Major Food & Beverage Companies selected Bill for their 2025 Steam Trap Surveys and Air Leak Surveys at their US and Canadian facilities.
Bill has expert knowledge in the operation, testing, evaluation and sizing of all types of steam traps. His recommendations have led to significant reductions in fuel, chemical and makeup water, solving such problems as inconsistent heat, high back pressure, waterlogged steam lines, water-hammer and air locking.
BROAD TECHNICAL BACKGROUND
Currently owns and operates Steam Trap Survey LLC conducting steam trap surveys and air leak surveys throughout the US and Canada. Surveying many of the Fortune 500 companies in the US and Canadian Industrial Markets.
JBS/Pilgrim’s Pride selected Bill as one of seven vendors to join their engineering and procurement group on a 3-Year ‘Drive Cost Savings’ campaign. The team planned projects to reduce energy and water usage and improve process flow.
Bill was one of two vendors selected by BP to survey their 27,000-trap population in Whiting, IN. The project was completed ahead of schedule.
Flint Hills Resources selected Bill to test their 5,000-trap population
and plot all traps on internal drawings.
Stepan Co. implement a steam reliability program for their 4,000-trap population. The steam reliability program included testing and tagging all steam traps using scannable QR asset tags.
Directed trap installations and compiled energy savings for refineries in the tar/oil sands of Alberta Canada.
Managed and conducted steam trap surveys throughout the US as a subcontractor for a major steam trap manufacturer.
Steam Specialist responsible for overall steam trap product sales/surveys for a Midwest distributor concentrating in the heavy industrial market. Worked closely with their salesmen promoting steam products and value-added steam trap survey services. Bill started their steam trap survey program utilizing energy rebates from NICOR, NIPSCO, North Shore and Peoples Gas.
Steam Specialist for a national supplier responsible with setting up steam trap surveys and developing relationships within the food and beverage industries throughout the US.
Sales Manager of a leading producer of electronic storage tank level gauging equipment and conservation vents primarily for the refining, chemical and petrochemical industries.
Regional Sales Manager for manufacturers of electro-mechanical relays and contactors for industrial applications such as power generation, motor controls and facility automation.
Product Manager for a Midwest distributor of control valves, pressure, temperature and level transmitters, mechanical seals and flow meters.
